Buff Love Endowed Scholarship Fund
To provide undergraduate scholarship awards for students enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder that exhibit a passion for what they are learning.
Alums Scott Linemeyer (Computer Science, 2000) and Amber Story (Art History, 1999) received a family gift from Richard Stephenson (Fine Arts BFA 1966 and MFA 1969) in memory of his son Jess who passed away in 1991 at the age of 15.
Amber and Scott’s love of learning, combined with their pride for CU, inspired them to create something long-lasting in honor of Jess, Richard, and all of their friends and family who also love CU.
It’s unclear what Jess would have liked to study if he went to college, but it’s certain he would have approached it as he did life, with energy, resilience, and his outgoing personality. In the spirit of “Buff Love”, this scholarship is open to all disciplines for students who love what they are learning and live life to the fullest.
