George Richard Aiken Endowed Memorial Graduate Fellowship Fund

To provide fellowship support for graduate students enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder who are pursuing a degree in geological, geographical, biogeochemical, environmental sciences, or environmental engineering. Preference will be given to students who are also actively involved with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) as part of the student’s graduate research.

This fellowship honors George R. Aiken, who made significant contributions to our understanding of aquatic ecosystems during his 40-year career as an organic geochemist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The fellowship is awarded to graduate students in the earth sciences who collaborate with USGS scientists to conduct their graduate research and fieldwork.
