CU Denver receives unusual donation of animal bones

Anthropology student Michelle Wilson has facilitated the donation of a unique and extensive collection of animal bones amassed by her grandfather-in-law, Bradley Bowman. Highlights from the collection include various species of American wildlife, including bison and pronghorn skeletons.

Thompson endowment swings jazz forward at CU Boulder

Last fall, CU Boulder’s College of Music added a vocal jazz degree option to the Thompson Jazz Studies Program. Alumni and longtime donors Jack (Hist’64; MA’70) and Jeannie Thompson (Zool’64) expanded their endowment to further enhance their impact and legacy with the jazz studies program.

CU Anschutz professor's free textbook makes education more affordable

Nursing professor Dr. Kim Paxton gave students the gift of her time and expertise, working with colleagues to write a digital textbook that is available at no cost. Her efforts will save each student enrolled in her graduate-level nursing course on health promotion and prevention $425.
